Duration: 2:27

"Piano Day, an annual worldwide event founded by a group of likeminded people, takes place on the 88th day of the year
because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated."

Each 88th chromapost/color of the year is translated into three notes according to their Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) values.
The translation is based on converting RGB values (0 - 255 each) to MIDI values (21 - 108).
The piece is a succession of those eight colors that gradually transition from one to the next.
The Main colors last six measures each, and transitions between them last three measures each.
During the main color measures only the three tones assigned to that color are allowed.
The transition measures use six tones, three from the fading color and three from the emerging color.
All assigned tones must be used at least once.
All other aspects of the music (tempo, dynamics, rhythm, articulation, time signature...) can be varied as desired.
